I really like this photo. I also have some major problems with it. I love the colors & the rays & the back lighting. I do not however like how I left the light house off to the right instead of centering it. I wish that I would have centered the light house & had the sun rays cascading out from that center point. Live & learn. It’s hard taking back lit pictures because they never turn out the way you see them in real life. My camera saw much more color & a lot less detail than I had in real life with my own two eyes. I’m still contemplating photoshipping out some of the tree on the right next to the light house & some of the building on the left. I wish there would have been some more cloud in the upper right hand corner of the picture & am debating where or not I should put one there. All in all, it’s not a bad picture. I like elements but there are deffinately things I wish I could change. I feel it could be way more visually intresting if I had thought a little bit more about it before letting the sun go down.
I kindof agree about the lighthouse. BUT, I wouldn’t center it all the way. I really don’t like photographs that have the item of interest right in the center, to me it looks amateurish. But, done right, it can be good. I really like it when photographers play a bit with angles. I’d definitely get the lighthouse out of the background, but I’d still leave it to the right.
That’s just my 2 cents. Kisses!
