Found you!
Should be in by monday no?
Matt and I have been married 4 years today. We have had 3 apartments & 1 house. We have moved 5 times, twice of them across country. We have been up and we have been way down but always together. We work 2 feet from each other every day, all day but some how are more in love than ever. When people talk about their better halves I honestly don’t know if they believe that. But I do. Matt is my better half in every way shape and form. With out him I don’t know where I would be today, with him, I don’t care where I am tomorrow as long as we are there together.

I’ve desided that one of my next projects is going to be knocking off this sweater from Anthropologie. It’s just to damn cute & almost exactly what I was looking for in my next cardigan.
Roam is almost finished, just working on the hood & then the icord for the zipper to attach to & I’m done. So far I’ve worked on it 8 days. Crazy, even seaming is done!

Grass Green debbie bliss cardie is 1/5 the way done. Almost to the arm holes.
Ordered yarn today for my christmas projects.
My fabulous MIL & I went to a knitting group that I had found last night. Being that we are both a little afraid of new people & new situations it was a little bit of a struggle to convince myself just to ask & they will add more chairs & open the circle. They did. And it was all that is fabulous. The women were very friendly & warm & open. I think I happened to sit next to someone as loud as I am so that helps.
Any group that can get two “diffrently aged” women (we are talking 70′s here people) talking about how to find c-ck* is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
OMG good times. Deffinately going back next week.
Bought some amazing debbie bliss cotton for a sweater to match my skirt. So beautiful. Now I need to be done buying yarn for a while. I still have 2 packages coming in the mail. And I need to knit slower because…I’m going to be seaming Roam tonight O_O that’s under week people. Which I guess is ok because I want the new sweater done in under a week for my anniversary. OK! I can do this. I’m crazy, but at least it runs in the family.
And for no reason at all, here is how Sue sits. He’s not a normal cat.

“What? This is just how I roll. Now find me some catnip Biznatch!”
I am thankful for the most amazing man on the face of Gods green earth & in his universe and the fact that he loves me even when I’m a crazy as bitch.
I’m thankful that I have the most loving & supporitive inlaws on the face of the earth.
I am thankful for my niece who’s very image or presence brings pure joy and zen into crazy hard days.
I am thankful that I learned to knit and that it brings peace to my troubled mind.
I am thankful that all our worldly possessions made it safely from Ohio to California, even if they are quarentined.
I am thankful for my immune system which never allows me to get sick.
I am thankful for my family who loves me and will try to comfort me even when I am an atomic bomb who’s about to go off.
I am thankful for the stress I have been experiencing, though tough emotionally, has seemed to kept me from emotional eating, which has shown in the waist line of the new pants I bought which already require a belt.
I am greatful for California weather. I forgot about your cool cool mornings & nights but lovely 75* filled days. I forgive you for your real estate pricyness.
I am thankful for my life even if I forget it. August & September have sucked, but I’m thankful for it. This reminds me what is truely important in life and why I am so blessed. Money couldn’t buy this.
Good News: My stuff arrived from Ohio.
Bad News: We were quarentined by the Department of Agriculture.
Guess they are looking for gypsy moths. Don’t know why they care about the gypsies, what they should be worrying about is those tramps & theives.
ooooOOOKKKKK. Obviously I’m an overly tired dork. BUT! My computer is being unloaded & that means pictures! OF KNITTING!
I finished the back of my Roam sweater last night. Now I’m on one of the front pannels. Hopefully I will have the body completed by the weekend so then I just have to do the sleeves. Knit One Crochet Two is beautiful cotton. It’s amazing knitted up. Our stuff should be coming tomorrow so that means I can finally upload pictures. Until then here’s a picture of Paul Giamatti for your viewing pleasure. Or maybe it’s only me that takes pleasure from viewing it?

This weekend was very nice & very much needed. Found my new LYS and OMG it’s amazing. The selection of cottons is amazing! I <3 california yarn shops
They also have some amazing silk & hand painteds too. So I bought enough yarn (hopefully!) to make my Roam from knitty’s fall issue. It’s from Knit One Crochet Two in tie dye. Now I have to admit that I’m not usually a variated color kind of gal. At least not apart from socks, scarves & hats. I usually don’t dig it on me. But I thought, “What the hell, I’m in california & it’s so very californian”. I’m renaming this sweater my Ojai Oats sweater because it’s so very Ojai. If you’ve never been up to Ojai then come on by and we will drive up the 10 minutes & meet all the hippies that sold out & are working for the man and are living in 2 million $ homes
So yes, Roam is coming along nicely. My gage was way the HELL off, but I’m blaming that on yarn subsitution & my own gage problems. Even after swatching I had to frog out the 2 inches I had done (in 2 sizes smaller) because what was supposed to be 26″ was actually 31″. But at least I’m learning to catch it sooner than later & frog it
I’m almost done with the back so that’s a happy thought. So much seed stitch in cotton O_O My hands need some loving. Thankfully I have some wool on the way in some great tweed.
In other random news I went shopping. For the first time in a year I bought new clothes & for the first time in 2 years I bought shoes. I love me the nordstrom rack
Being that I wear size 12 womens shoes I rarely find anything I want to put on my feet. & I’m either a flat or HIGH wedge kinda girl. No inbetweens please. So what did I get? Some CUTE Lacoste white deck sneekers that are O so cute. *hello little alligators* and some Steve Madden red wedges that look almost like this. I also bought a cute perfectly flaring skirt in colors I would normally never buy. So I thought outside my fasion box. It worked.
Now I have to knit a little sweater to go with the colors I would normally never buy, because I have none of them in my wardrobe.
also how cute are these? They would go perfectly with the skirt I just bought. Hmmmm I may have to buy them?
Still no computer because our stuff is still on a truck somewhere in this great nation. I have no idea. Maybe it’s visiting the grand canyon? Maybe driving through the petrified forest? Should be here this week I think though. So pictures will come then.
Toodles!
Thank god it’s friday! Last friday Matt and I were packing up the cars & leaving Cleveland for California. We had no weekend. What a cruel joke. This weekend the parents are in Flagstaff with Allison, Erich, & Amelia. The FIL called today to see if he could “have the day off from work” (meaning that we won’t call him unless the company is being swept away to sea) to play with the baby. Since this is exactly what he needs we obviously told him yes
Baby therapy.
Since my computer is still on a truck somewhere on the United States Interstatale system I have no new pictures. I have finished the Moving Stress Reliever Socks and am making good progress on my new lace wrap in the purple/brown/black looking lace yarn.
Tomorrow is the new LYS visit that I’ve been looking forward to all week
I have 5 projects I want to buy for.
Also, stress seems to be working in my favor. I caught a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror today…and looks like I’ve lost weight. Like seriously. So yeah. Gotta keep it up (the weight loss, not the stress).
Since I have nothing else, here is a picture I took of a man, walking his goat.

The new knitty is up. I just bought yarn yesterday & must have KNOWN that it would become this sweater and now I have to find yarn for this sweater too! What a tough life I have
Found a new LYS. They offer thursday knit togethers
YAY! I will finally meet some other knitters. They also offer spinning classes. Being back in california is ok for now. Weather is beautiful with a nice little chill in the morning. So makes me want sweaters badly! I started a lacy little wrap of my own design.
Very intresting color. Kinda purple, kinda brown, kinda black. I have high hopes for this. I must find some lace blocking rods though.
I have to remember. Life is only as good as you make it.
