Time to revel yourselves people
I have noticed that I’m getting about 50 hits a day, but from whom? I do not know. So if you stop by please drop me a comment or ask me a question or let me know that you exist!

Time to revel yourselves people

Last night I pulled the cable right out of my addi 7 circs. Nice huh? I all Incredible Haulked it for no apparent reason. Thinking that I could shove it back in & glue it up right, I realized that the cable goes about 4 inches inside the needle & I was never getting it back. Thankfully tomorrow is knitting group & I can buy some at the shop. Bummer though.
That means that I HAVE to knit on my clapotis. Since I have nothing else besides these two things on the needles I do have to knit it. I have told myself I can’t cast on anything new until I finish it. It’s not that I don’t like the pattern, it’s a lovely pattern, I’m seriously bored with it though. So I must use my Finnish born stubornness & get it done. Git er DONE! hahahaha anywho.
This weekend I am going to swatch for Matt’s cabled sweater, get the clapotis off the needles & hopefully come near to finishing off Mr Greenjeans.
Then it is time for christmas projects O_O
…With Ravelry that is.
But what knitter wouldn’t be?
In progress news I’m well on my way to getting Mr Greenjeans knitted up. I’m almost to where you put the arms on scrap yarn. I’m using Beaverslide Mctaggert Tweed in Wild Myrtle and oh help me sweet baby jesus I’m loving it. First off, I will be honest and admit that my gage with this yarn was way off. 5″ for 18st on US 7. It’s supposed to be 4″ for 18st on US8. I’m still knitting it in the 7′s, but I went down a bust size. I had read on ravelry (LOVE) that to button the sweater you should knit a bust size 3 inches bigger (ok, am I the only one that this bothers? I mean, you give bust sizes so that they will, um, fit the bust. Closed. But maybe that’s just me). So that would have had me knitting the 53″. Now instead I’m doing the 49″ which was my orginal plan.
Yes I have bubbies. I’m not proud either
If you have never knit with this yarn (as I never have before) you need to order yourself some. It is perfect fall jacket yarn. This is going to withstand the wind and wet like no other. It’s amazingly squishy and it knits up into a lovely fabric. Also, you must thank Brooklyntweed for pointing it out on his website, also feel free to oogle his knits as much as I do.
Am I the only one not doing socks for October? Probably, but you know, socks & me, aren’t the best of pals. California weather isn’t really “sock weather” per say. But I can deffinately appreciate other people’s small footed versions
I’m almost finished with my Clapotis. I love the pattern, but I am super duper sick of my debbie bliss cotton. I’ll be glad when it’s all knitted up. Course I still will have some left over I believe when I’m done with this project. Maybe a bag?
The yarn for Matt’s sweater came yesterday. So I will be swatching that this weekend. OMG the cables! What have I done to myself?! I just have to remember slow & steady right? I have time, it’s not intended as a christmas present.
Since I brought up christmas, here’s the knitting list for myself
Dad-zippered beaverslide mctaggert tweed jacket
Pat-Lacy Shawl that has no name that I must buy pattern & yarn for
Rebecca-Tilted Duster AND Hemlock Ring blanket (Birthday)
Shawna-Bolero from Fitted Knits & pull over raglan for baby Gavin
Allison-???? Do you want something?
My user name is Preita
I’m so excited. Yesterday Matt and I also dug deep into the storage unit & found our our computers, moniters & cables which means I will finally be able to download pictures!!! Life isn’t seeming quite so bleak!
On the other hand, my SIL’s condo was flooded by the dumbasses upstairs & they are now living out of a suite at the mariott until the insurance company can clean everything up. 2007 is shaping up to be one hell of a tough year.
Also, we are almost bought and almost working for another company again. Another owner, another company, maybe this will finally be what we are looking for & needing.
The MIL & I did some major damage at Macy’s this weekend. OMG I got some cut stuff
Yay!
