I’m not Christian and I wasn’t raised that way, thus Easter is not a holiday that involves me in the least. I go through the motions for my husband’s family (even forcing myself to eat a little ham).  I can appreciate cute kids in their finest clothes & chocolate & eggs even with out taking a savior though. :) Point & Case,

Can we have a collective “Awwwwwww” :)

And of course she was not the only one to be forced to wear things on their heads.

Tyler took quite a bit of rangling to get this, where as Ed below didn’t care in the least.

And just to prove that we don’t smile ALL the time

Sometimes Auntie Preita is just down right annoying with that camera!”

Hope you all had a nice weekend, I do have FO’s to show if I remember to take pictures!

  1. Easter coincidently coincides with the festival of Ostara aka Eostre the goddess of fertility and the sun. Her sacred animal was the rabbit. Eggs were decorated and given to your friends and neighbors in hopes of bountiful crops.

It amuses me to no end to watch the “Christians who stole our traditions” participate in pagan stuff completely unaware.

Christ died on a cross, let’s look for eggs. Yeah, I can definitely make the connection.

Maybe I’m being too judgmental and chocolate Christ’s-on- Cross just didn’t market well and scared the hell out of the kids.

    See you Thorsday.

    And your niece is ADORABLE!

  2. hahaha chocolate jew on a stick! (I know, if I believed there was a hell, I would totally be going there).

It’s one of the only religions that
    1.worships someone of ANOTHER RELIGION.
    2. Worships a zombie.
    3. Believes in God having a hand in everything (ie having a plan) but then turns around & is like “Oh, yeah, God created everything, and everything God created is great, except homosexuals, that’s just not right, even though God created them just as everyone else, they are just wrong.”

Please. I could never agree with a religion that claims that “Jesus Loves Me” through various bumper stickers, but then prosocutes people for being diffrent. WTF?
