Week in Review

I finished the pair of Little Child’s socks yesterday and will take pictures this weekend. They were knit with 1.25 skiens of Jitterbug in Vincent’s Apron and if you can sucessfully tell me what this colorway reminded me of the whole way through knitting it I will mail you the .75 of the skien I have. Actually it’s more like .85. Anywho.  I cast on for yet another pair of socks. This time I Love Gansey in Jitterbug Velvet Leaf. (jitterbug isn’t my FAVORITE sock yarn, just my favorite of what my local shop stocks, though I think I will be making a pair of the gentelman’s half hose out of the oyster colorway, yum!)

This weekend I plan to finish the scarf that I have on the loom & warp up another one, this time in cotton worsted just to see the diffrences in weight and fiber. I also plan on finally working on my stepped ridge wrap because I hate seeing it in my ravelry WIP’s. I’m on the second repeat of the cable on the sleeve of Matt’s sweater and finally am getting the flow of it. I think this will be the last non-repeating cable I will ever do. It’s really not that much fun. This sweater is currently the bane of my existence and I seriously wonder about the sanity and drug use of the designer of said cable. After I finally get some WIP’s off the needles I think I’m going to cast on for a summer T, I say that, though I’m currently drooling over my beaverslide worsted weight yarn I got in the mail. And of course, more socks to come. We will see though.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Congrats on finishing your socks. Did the color remind you of sunshine (in short supply around these parts? Or maybe mustard?

The color of fine Beer. LeeAnn enjoys your knitting and has passed the sock wars site on to some of her friends. Let the battle begin.

good guesses but no. The ladies at my knitting group heard me say it out loud last night. The one hint I will give is that we were being…quite crude. O_O

You need to open a knitting store! With yarn and classes!!

Dad- it’s very close to beer, but not quite :D
