The summer is shaping up to be very busy. We’ve been invited to a lot of different events, AND we still have unpacking to do yet.
Knitting:

Gentleman’s Sock in Railway Stitch from Vintage Socks by Nancy Bush. Can you see the leg shaping?
I have turned the heel & am on my way to the toe. I know this sock yarn is Regia, but um, past that I have no idea. My father in law threw away the ball band sometime in the recent past. I like the vibrant oranges against the blue greys. I’m not usually a variegated yarn kind of person. I like my yarns solid and saturated, but this works quite well for me.
We went here this weekend for his company’s picnic.

There were a lot of people. A LOT. Thankfully the lines (for the most part) were short, and there was only one altercation that my FIL started & the Mr almost got in a fight with another man over. The short of it is that people are highly rude. Beyond rude. They step in front of you, run into you with their strollers (multipul times), jab you, hit you, push you, & rub their stink on you. If this weren’t free the Mr & I would NEVER have paid the 67$ it costs to get into this place. You heard me, 67$, ridiculous.
That said, we did have a good time. Waterworld & Shrek were by far the best attractions they had.

I did also enjoy backdraft though because of the special effects.

unfortunately every time I caught a the explosions the catwalk we were on would drop & they came out blurry. There were also many a good sign ![]()

Flying killer hats! And if your kid isn’t good enough, switch!
And fun props.

The Jaws Shark

Moe’s Tavern from the Simpsons (I love that they look posed, but they are really just talking)

For some reason when I turned my back to take pictures of the fountain my Mr was surrounded by a group of Japanese tourists all taking pictures. This is the man that scoffs ever time I try to take a picture. So I snapped one too ![]()
