I’m finally pulling myself out of my knitting slump. I think I had cast on for too many garter st projects on small needles and thus avoided it all.

Second verse same as the first just a whole lot louder and whole lot worse!
Actually I love this scarf. It has more drape than the first becaues I used larger needles and a lighter weight yarn.
Yarn: Malabrigo Sock Yarn
Needles: US size 4
Pattern: Lacy Baktus
Now that I’m finished with that though I can move on to other things like finishing up a baby sweater for my best friends soon to be arriving little girl. I am not one to knit stuff for babies I have decided. As small cute and easy as they look for some reason I can’t force myself to spend the two hours to knit an easy little sweater. Nope, I’d rather spend a month knitting cably socks for some reason. Who knows but I have to clean up the project list.
Have you all seen the fab hats that Jared Flood (aka Brooklyn Tweed) has released in the last week? Seriously Fab. I’m going to knit the Beaumont Beaniewith some handspun.

Handspun by Me
From top to bottom: natural white Blue Faced Leicester, pale silver Cotswold, steel grey Icelandic wool + angora goat, dark grey mystery wool.

I am now seriously obsessed with sheep in wizardly hoods
In other news! I have ordered Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie which I’m anxiously looking forward to. Expect a full blown disection as soon as I receive it.
Hi, Preita,
Mette sent me the link to pix of the Ostrich games, and I enjoyed peeking at your other albums. So she sent me the link to your blog, too. Such good folks, we miss them now that we’ve relocated to Eugene. Did you come to BSG? We’ll have to connect whenever you’re up here. I’m newly addicted to spinning, have a herd of fleecy alpacas to keep me busy in so many ways… Tom brought our first 4 dams up (we’d agisted in SYV and Carpinteria).
