The Mr and I went to visit our friends Jim & Carol and Tank’s southern pack this last weekend. Every time we go it’s such a wonderful time. Maybe it’s because we live in the suburbs and don’t have alpacas and peacocks running around that we find a certain novelty in it. Also, I now want a million windchimes.

I could take pictures of these guys all day long. The colors and their attitudes really get to me.

I love the sounds of all the chimes and gongs swinging in the wind unfortunately I don’t have good trees for them like Jim & Carol.
After weeks of terrible winter weather it was a beautiful perfect spring weekend. Nice and sunny, not too warm but definitely not cold. Gotta love it.

The almond tree had it’s very first pink bloom which made me smile after knowing how much snow Jim & Carol had just a few weeks ago.

Bubba is looking much better these days too. He had a perforated bowl a couple weeks ago & they weren’t sure he was going to make it.

I have also been knitting. This is one of 3 sweater projects I have on the needles right now. I love the garter stitch with tweed and of course the colors are my favorite

It has also almost officially been 1 full year since I have quite smoking. I don’t think about it most days but there are still days that I miss it. I have commissioned my friend Jim to make me a cuff bracelet for that anniversary that I can wear every day to remind myself of how far I’ve come. I’ve given him artistic license because he’s the artist, not me, and I know I’ll love it no matter what.
